How Boum works
- Smart control in the tank lid: The solar-powered pump is located in the lid of a water tank and continuously monitors the water level using sensors.
- Water distribution according to your setup: The plants are supplied via hoses - with Boum pots via wick/sub-irrigation (water from below), with your own pots via precise drippers.
- App-based alerts: The app automatically informs you when you need to refill water or fertilize – including clear reminders at the right time 🔔.

Boum Core - Smart wick irrigation for beginners
Boum Core is the perfect entry point into the Boum world, utilizing our special wick irrigation system to always provide your plants with precisely the right amount of water. The starter set includes two pots, a water reservoir, and of course, the Boum controller. The initial edition is strictly limited and will be available from March.

Boum Pro also uses our proprietary wick irrigation system, but in addition to efficiency, it's designed for style and aesthetics. The starter set includes a pot, a water tank, and the Boum controller – our smart, solar-powered pump. Available immediately.

Boum Drip is a smart drip irrigation system that waters your plants more efficiently and with less water than conventional drip systems. Our smart control uses an adaptive algorithm that automatically adjusts the amount of water to the weather. The first edition will be delivered from April and is strictly limited.

Boum was founded by Prof. Matthias Erb and Dr. Ludwig Auer as a spin-off from the University of Bern with one goal: to give everyone access to nature - through sustainable technology.
