The mandarin produces tasty fruit from its beautiful white flowers. The tree grows relatively compactly and forms elongated leaves, which are typical of these citrus plants.

The mandarin is a perennial plant. It can be planted directly into the Boum system and grows optimally with the Boum soil and irrigation.

Note: The mandarin is not hardy and must be overwintered in a bright and frost-free place (at least 13°C).

Note on delivery: The tree is normally delivered without ripe fruit, as this can easily fall off during transportation.

The trees are grown several years in advance by our partner nursery and delivered to your home safely packaged. As these are naturally grown young plants, the number of flowers and fruit set may vary during shipping.

The mandarin prefers a bright and sunny location in order to grow optimally and produce fruit.
If you do not have a Boum system, it may be necessary to water the plant several times a week during the summer months. The mandarin is not frost-hardy and must be kept in a bright and warm place over winter!

If you do not have a Boum system, you should water the plant regularly so that it has evenly moist soil without waterlogging.
