4.2 billion people, 55% of the world's population, live in cities. The problem: climate change is making cities too hot, they offer little habitat for nature, and often a poor quality of life. The solution: more plants, close to people. On balconies and terraces, on windowsills and in building entrances. Plants are good for the climate, bring nature back, reduce stress and make us happy. Boum makes it easier to water plants reliably in everyday life. This means more balconies, terraces and windowsills can become green spaces.
How we work
We develop products that make growing plants in urban spaces more efficient and environmentally friendly. Especially in times of extreme weather events such as heatwaves and water shortages, sensible, water-saving watering is becoming increasingly important!
To achieve this, we combine ecology, technology and good product design to develop solutions that work reliably and let you grow plants while saving water, without having to tend to them constantly.
What we do
Our products solve some of the typical challenges of growing plants: irregular watering, a lack of knowledge and the wrong setup. To address these, we developed a watering system that adapts to potted plants and works reliably in everyday life. Combined with suitable soil, helpful plant tips and an app that supports you when you need it, plant care becomes much easier.
