The dwarf maple "Melanie" is a unique little tree with wonderfully feathery leaves. The tree grows very compactly, is uniquely decorative, and looks wonderful on a patio or patio. At the beginning of the season, the young leaves are still green – as in the first photo – but then gradually turn a deep red.

This dwarf maple is a perennial plant. It can be planted directly into the Boum system and grows optimally with Boum soil and irrigation. The trees are pre-grown by our partner nursery and delivered conveniently and safely to your home.

At the time of delivery, the tree is approximately 100-125 cm tall, so the plant is shipped on a pallet. Depending on the season, the plant may be pruned. However, in the Boom system, the plant will recover quickly.

Note: Due to the size of the root ball, the tree is specifically designed for the 30L Pot Pro.

The dwarf maple (Acer palmatum) prefers a partially shaded location. Make sure that the dwarf maple is not exposed to excessive heat and dryness. It should also be protected from the blazing midday sun, as its light leaves can react sensitively to it. Also make sure that the pot is not exposed to too much wind, as it could fall over.
The dwarf maple is sensitive to pruning and should therefore only be pruned in exceptional cases and in August.

Water & Earth

Moist

With the Boum system, the dwarf maple (Acer palmatum) automatically receives the optimal amount of water without waterlogging or the plant drying out.
If you don't have a Boum system, you should water the plant regularly so that it has evenly moist soil without waterlogging. The plant is relatively frost-hardy and perennial and should be placed against a house wall in winter where it is somewhat protected.
