Our classic: the Boum 2 controller. This is the version we started with in 2023. Unlike the Boum 3 controller, it is made from PP instead of ABS and does not have the rain catcher function. Apart from that, it offers the same range of functions and is compatible with all Boum pots.

How often do I need to refill the water tank?
In peak summer, an outdoor pot uses an average of 0.5 L of water per day. This means you refill the tank roughly every 3 weeks with 3 pots, or every 2 weeks with 5 pots.
Indoors, a pot uses around 0.1 L of water per day throughout the year.
How many Boum pots can I connect to one watering system?
You can connect up to 12 pots to one water tank. Outdoors in midsummer, one pot uses around 0.5 L of water per day; indoors, it uses around 0.1 L per day throughout the year.
Does Boum work without Wi-Fi?
Yes. The watering system needs to be connected to Wi-Fi once for setup. After that, it works independently, even without Wi-Fi. In this case, no sensor data is displayed in the app.
Can I use my own plant pots?
Boum only works with Boum planters.
However, you can place these inside other containers (outer pots) and keep using your own colours and shapes.
Which soil should I use?
For outdoor plants, we recommend Boum potting soil, which was specially developed for the Boum watering system and Boum plants. You can also use your own soil. It is important that the soil makes good contact with the wicks and draws water up into the upper layers.
For houseplants, we recommend Boum houseplant soil.
Which plants can I grow with the watering system?
We have successfully tested the Boum system with many different indoor and outdoor plants. The system is particularly well suited to plants that like to grow in moist soil. Plants that prefer dry conditions (e.g. succulents) are somewhat less suitable. If you order plants from us, you can be sure they are suitable for the system.

Funktioniert perfekt!
Eigentlich ist es einfach dieses System in Betrieb zu nehmen. Alles ist sehr gut erklärt und beschrieben. Ich bin gespannt wie sich die Pflanzen entwickeln🙂..... Leider hat der Basilikum die Reise mit der Post nicht überstanden😏
Einfach zu installieren, die Bewässerung lässt sich super easy über die App steuern, klappt prima.
Es funktioniert, wie versprochen. Es hat gedauert, bis wir herausfanden, welche Pflanze wieviele Tropfköpfe braucht. Wir empfehlen es weiter.
Funktioniert einwandfrei!
Sehr wertige Materialien. Alles passt perfekt. Zusammenbau selbsterklärend. Funktioniert sofort und absolut zuverlässig. Einzig die Anzeige über den Wasserstand auf der App, macht zum Teil grosse Sprünge (zum Beispiel zeigt es noch 7L Wasser an, obwohl der Tank noch dreiviertel voll ist). Die Vermutung, es könnte Kondenswasser auf dem Sensor sein, erwies sich als nicht zutreffend. Die anfrage Wir können aber sehr gut damit Leben, weil wir ungefähr wissen, wie viel Wasser es hat und dass das System ansonsten einwandfrei läuft. Stand heute (nach 20 Tagen) sind wir begeistert und empfehlen Boum vorbehaltlos weiter. Wir überlegen uns noch weitere Töpfe dazu zu kaufen. :-) Ein sehr schönes Produkt! Gratuliere!

Funktioniert sehr gut, wäre aber sehr cool wenn man es an Pflanztöpfe wo nicht von Boum kommen auch verwenden könnte.
