The Boum Core Set waters your plants automatically and takes regular watering off your hands. It is suitable for balconies, terraces, or indoor spaces and is a great way to get started with automatic irrigation.

Tank and controls.
The tank supplies your plants with water for several weeks – with no water connection needed. You only need to refill it every few weeks. The solar-powered controller with pump sits directly in the lid and keeps watering running automatically. When water is running low, you receive a short notification.

Boum Core waters through a water reservoir in the pot. Each plant draws exactly as much water as it needs through wicks. Just like in nature. This supplies it evenly from below, keeping watering simple and reliable.

Is Boum Core suitable for beginners?
Yes. Boum Core is simply designed and quick to set up. Watering is automated. You only need to refill the water every few weeks. If you wish, you can check the app or set up reminders for when water is low.
How does Boum Core differ from Boum Pro?
Boum Core is more compact and lighter. It is well-suited for herbs, flowers, and vegetables on a balcony or terrace. Boum Pro offers more space per pot. It's a better fit if you want to water larger plants or small trees. Both variants can be combined.
How often do I need to refill the water tank?
In midsummer, an outdoor pot uses an average of 0.5 - 1 litre of water per day. This means you refill the tank approximately every 3 weeks with 3 pots, or every 2 weeks with 5 pots.
Indoors, a pot uses around 0.1 L of water per day all year round.
How many Boum pots can I connect to one watering system?
You can connect up to 12 planters to one water tank. In midsummer, an outdoor pot uses around 0.5 - 1 L of water per day; indoors, it uses around 0.1 L per day all year round.
Does Boum work without Wi-Fi?
Yes. The watering system needs to be connected to Wi-Fi once for setup. After that, it works independently, even without Wi-Fi. In this case, no sensor data is displayed in the app.
Can I use my own plant pots?
Yes. Although Boum Core and Boum Pro are based on our wick irrigation, you can integrate your own pots using drippers. See Boum Drip - Extension Set (20 Drippers).
Which soil should I use?
For outdoor plants, we recommend Boum potting soil. However, you can also use another structurally stable soil. It is important that it draws water well upwards from the wicks. For indoor plants, we recommend Boum indoor plant potting soil.
Which plants can I grow with the watering system?
Boum is suitable for many indoor and outdoor plants. The system is particularly well-suited for plants that prefer consistently moist soil. It is less suitable for plants that prefer drier conditions, such as succulents.
