Create your own watering system in just a few steps: choose a controller, tank and anything else you need – then add everything to your basket together at the end.

Choose your controller

A Boum system always starts with a controller. It is the heart of the system: it measures the water level, controls the pump and connects to the Boum App. Choose the controller you prefer.

Choose your water tank

The water tank stores water, so you don't need a mains water connection. Both controllers fit snugly on all water tanks. Choose the size and colour you like best: the larger the tank, the longer your water supply lasts.

Our watering methods

Self-watering pots.

Our patented, nature-inspired wick watering supplies plants with water from below and uses up to 40 % less water than conventional methods.

Water-efficient drippers.

Using insights into water consumption from over a thousand Boum systems, we accurately estimate water needs and make drip irrigation as efficient as possible.

Important: both watering methods can be combined. Simply put together your preferred combination of drippers and pots in the next steps.

Add drippers (optional)

Already have your own pots or plants in place? No problem – simply add drippers (including holders and hose) to water your plants from above using drip irrigation.

For thirsty or demanding plants (e.g. vegetables, basil, etc.), we recommend using Boum pots (in the next step).

Note: we recommend a maximum of 25 drippers per controller.

Boum pots (optional)

For the best results, we recommend our specially designed Boum pots. Thanks to wick watering, plants always take exactly the amount of water they need. Boum pots and drippers can be watered using the same controller.

Choose your substrate (optional)

The right soil makes a big difference to your plants!

Boum soil is a specially developed mix, perfectly suited to wick watering, which we also recommend for drip irrigation. It is enriched with the right nutrients and freshly produced.
