The tomato plant (Solanum lycopersicum) prefers bright and sunny locations. It is best to place it in a south or southwest window where it will receive at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily. If you grow it outside, make sure it gets enough sunlight to reach its full growth potential. Sunny and sheltered spots are ideal for tomato plants.
If you don't have a Boum system, it may be necessary to water the plant daily during the summer months. Fertilising is also important, especially during the growing and fruiting phase. It is best to use Boum fertiliser, which decomposes slowly over time and releases its nutrients into the soil.

With the Boum system, the tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) automatically receives the optimum amount of water without waterlogging or the plant drying out. If you do not have a Boum system, you should water the plant regularly so that it has evenly moist soil without waterlogging, between 2-3 times a week depending on the weather conditions. Check the soil moisture regularly and adjust the watering accordingly.
