The Habanero chilli produces orange-reddish fruits, which are quite hot but still very tasty. This variety is extremely high-yielding and very decorative with its partly hanging, sprawling branches! It is guaranteed to enhance any balcony.

The Habanero chilli is an annual plant and is sustainably pre-grown. It can be planted directly into the Boum system and grows optimally with the Boum soil and irrigation.

The seedlings are pre-grown in spring and delivered to your home conveniently and securely packaged from May 2024. As the plant does not tolerate frost, this is the perfect time to plant it in your home.

The chili plant (Capsicum chinense) from the nightshade family prefers a bright location. It is best to place the plant in a sunny spot that receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day. Make sure that the location is not too shady, as this can affect the growth and fruiting of the chili.
If you do not have a Boum system, it may be necessary to water the plant daily during the summer months. Fertilising is also important, especially during the growth and fruiting phase. It is best to use Boum fertiliser, which decomposes slowly over time and releases its nutrients into the soil.

Moist

With the Boum system, the chili habanero (Capsicum chinense) automatically receives the optimum amount of water without water logging or drying out.
If you do not have a Boum system, you should water the plant regularly so that it has evenly moist soil without water logging. It is best to use the dipping method to ensure that the roots are evenly supplied with water. Depending on the ambient temperature and the pot and plant size, water the plant approximately every 3-7 days by submerging the pot halfway in water and waiting until no more air bubbles rise.
