This small shrub produces beautiful dark pink lip flowers and is an extremely valuable insect pasture. It not only brings color to your balcony, but also offers a valuable source of food for bees and co.

The Indigo shrub is a perennial plant and comes in a 5 L container. It can be planted directly into the Boum system and grows optimally with the Boum soil and irrigation.

The shrubs will be pre-grown by our partner nursery and delivered to your home conveniently and safely packaged from March 4, 2025 .

Depending on the season, the plant may be pruned at the time of delivery. However, in the Boum system, the plant will quickly recover and start growing.

Lighting conditions

The indigo bush (Indigofera heterantha) prefers a sunny to semi-shady location. It is best to place the plant in a spot that offers a few hours of direct sunlight as well as shade. Make sure that the location is protected from extremely strong midday sun so that the plant can thrive optimally.

With the Boum system, the indigo bush (Indigofera heterantha) automatically receives the optimum amount of water without water logging or drying out.
If you do not have a Boum system, you should water the plant regularly so that it has evenly moist soil without water logging. Make sure that the soil dries slightly between waterings before watering again to avoid overwatering.
