The mountain eggplant is an annual plant and is sustainably cultivated . It can be planted directly into the Boum system and grows optimally with Boum soil and irrigation.

The seedlings are grown in the spring and delivered conveniently and safely packaged to your home. Since the plant is frost-resistant, this is the perfect time to plant it in your home.

Note: The mountain eggplant can grow quite tall. Therefore, we recommend tying the plant up with a trellis .

The purple eggplant (Physalis ixocarpa) prefers a bright and sunny location in order to grow optimally and produce fruit. It is also important to protect the location from wind and draughts, as the plant can react sensitively to these conditions.
If you do not have a Boum system, it may be necessary to water the plant daily during the summer months. Fertilising is also important, especially during the growth and fruiting phase. It is best to use the Boum fertiliser, which decomposes slowly over time and releases its nutrients into the soil.
