Boum water tank
The tank holds almost up to 35 liters of water. But the real magic lies in the solar-powered control unit. It serves as the tank lid and is the brains of the system. It waters your plants with a built-in pump every day for up to 20 days* without refilling. So you don't have to worry about your plants while you're on vacation - Boum takes care of them. And thanks to the Wi-Fi connection, you can keep an eye on your plants from anywhere. Sensors measure water consumption and balcony climate and send notifications in the Boum app to keep you and your plants happy throughout the year.
Boum planters
Boum's designer planters, available as pots and window boxes, have a unique feature: capillary wicks that draw water from the pot's built-in reservoir, ensuring optimum soil moisture. With the Boum planters you can grow trees, vegetables, herbs, flowers and shrubs - with beautiful results that surpass anything you can achieve with conventional pots! The pots are connected to the water tank via an inconspicuous, easy-to-install hose and are thus supplied with water completely autonomously for several weeks. The Boum pots are made from an 80% recycled mineral-plastic mix with a hand finish, are decorative, shock and break-proof, easy to move, UV and frost resistant.

The Boum app provides you with all the important information about the system and your plants. You can use it to control the system from anywhere. The Boum app includes notifications for topping up water and fertilizing, frost and storm warnings, data on the balcony climate and much more. In addition, the app has a library of over 3500 plants, chat support, video tutorials - everything is included. We develop the Boum app ourselves and regularly deliver new features to help you grow and enjoy your plants even better.

Boum or drip irrigation
Why is the Boum system better than conventional drip irrigation?
Quite simple.
The control system measures the water level in the water tank and pumps water into our containers. From there, the water is drawn up into the soil using wicks. The soil moisture regulates itself according to the plant's water requirements and forms an optimum moisture gradient for good rooting. Completely self-regulating. Even without electricity and water connection.

FAQ
How often do I need to top up the water tank?
In midsummer, a pot uses an average of 0.5 litres of water per day. This means that with 3 pots you top up the tank approx. every 3 weeks, with 5 pots approx. every 2 weeks.
How many Boum pots can I connect to one irrigation system?
You can connect up to 12 pots to one water tank. One pot
uses approx. 0.5 litres of water per day in midsummer.
Does Boum also work without WLAN?
Yes, the watering system must be connected to the WLAN once for configuration. It then works autonomously, even without WLAN. In this case, no sensor data is displayed in the app.
Can I use my own flower pots?
Boum only works with the Boum planters.
However, you can place them in other containers (outdoor pots) and continue to use your

Which soil should I use?
We recommend Boum plant soil, which has been specially developed for Boum irrigation and Boum plants.

Which plants can I grow with the irrigation system?
We have successfully tested the Boum system with many different plants. The system is particularly suitable for plants that like to grow in moist soil.
