Boum water tank
The tank holds up to 35 liters of water. But the real magic lies in the solar-powered controller. It serves as the tank lid and is the brains of the system. It waters your plants daily with a built-in pump, without refilling. Outdoors, one tankful lasts for several weeks, and indoors, even for several months! So you don't have to worry about your plants while you're on vacation—Boum takes care of them. And thanks to the Wi-Fi connection, you can keep an eye on them from anywhere. Sensors measure water consumption and climate and send notifications to the Boum app to help you and your plants stay happy throughout the year.
Boum planters
Boum's designer planters, available as pots and window boxes, have a unique feature: capillary wicks that draw water from the pot's built-in reservoir, ensuring optimal soil moisture. With Boum planters, you can grow houseplants, trees, vegetables, herbs, flowers, and shrubs—with beautiful results that surpass anything you can achieve with conventional pots! The pots are connected to the water tank via an unobtrusive, easy-to-install hose, providing a completely autonomous supply of water for several weeks. Discreet cable ducts allow for concealed tubing, even indoors. Made from 80% recycled mineral-plastic blend with a hand-finished finish, Boum pots are decorative, impact- and shatter-resistant, easy to move, and UV- and frost-resistant.
Boum App
The Boum app provides you with all the important information about your system and your plants. It allows you to control the system from anywhere. The Boum app includes notifications for watering and fertilizing, frost and storm warnings, climate data, and much more. The app also features a library of over 3,500 plants, chat support, and video tutorials—it's all there. We develop the Boum app ourselves and regularly release new features to help you grow and enjoy your plants even better.

Boom water tank
The tank holds up to 35 liters of water. But the real magic lies in the solar-powered control. It closes the tank and is the brain of the system. It waters your plants daily with a built-in pump, for up to 20 days without refilling.
So you don't have to worry about your plants while you're on vacation - Boum will take care of it. And thanks to the Wi-Fi connection, you can keep an eye on your plants from anywhere. Sensors measure water consumption and the balcony climate and send notifications in the Boum app so that you and your plants can get through the year happily.

Why is the Boum system better than conventional drip irrigation? It's very simple. The control system measures the water level in the water tank and pumps water into our containers. From there, the water is drawn up into the soil using wicks. The soil moisture regulates itself depending on the plant's water requirements and creates an optimal moisture gradient for good rooting. Completely self-regulating. Even without electricity or a water connection.

How often do I have to refill the water tank?
In midsummer, a pot uses an average of 0.5 liters of water per day. This means that with 3 pots you fill the tank approx. every 3 weeks, with 5 pots approx. every 2 weeks.
How many Boum pots can I connect to an irrigation system?
You can connect up to 12 pots to one water tank. Stew
consumes approx. 0.5 liters of water per day in midsummer.
Does Boum also work without WiFi?
Yes. The irrigation must be connected to the WLAN once for configuration. It then works autonomously, even without WiFi. In this case, no sensor data is displayed in the app.
Can I use my own flower pots?
Boum only works with the Boum planters.
But you can put these in other containers (outside pots) and yours

Which soil should I use?
We recommend Boum potting soil, which is specifically designed for Boum irrigation and Boum plants
was developed. But you can also use your own soil. It is important that it has a good connection to the wicks and that the water flows into them

Which plants can I grow with the irrigation system?
We have successfully tested the Boum system with many different plants. The system is particularly suitable for plants that like to grow in moist soil. Drought-loving plants (e.g. succulents) are somewhat less suitable. If you order plants from us, you are on the safe side - they are definitely suitable for the system.
